JLAAC programs are here to provide positive and impactful social, physical, and recreational opportunities for individuals, families, and the community at large in Minong and the surrounding area.
Ages: 3 years +
The objectives of the American Red Cross is to teach children and young teens to be safe in, on and around the water and to swim well.
- Participants, in beginning stages of swim lessons, are oriented to the aquatic environment and gain some basic skills in each category.
- As they progress, participants build on these basic skills to learn and refine various propulsive movements on the front, back and side.
You will be asked what American Red Cross level you believe the participant should be entering and about your program goals during registration.
Session Fee:
- $210.00
- $150.00 (Member Pricing)
- If you would like to register 2-3 siblings in the same private lesson, $30 will be added per additional child.

B) Al a carte: Tells us what you want to work on, and we will create a plan for you.

For children under the age of 4, a parent/adult guardian may be asked to participate in the water
Goal:
- Improve current level of comfort, movement, strength, endurance & swimming technique;
- Learn safety in and around the water;
- Gain lifetime appreciation for the water;
- Develop a safer community through safer swimmers.

1 session is 7 lessons.
Course Options:
A) Learning the Basics:
Develop positive attitudes, effective swimming habits and knowledge in water safety.
Increase comfort level in the water;
Experience breath control, buoyancy and moving through the water;
Learn safety skills and safe behaviors in and around the water.
B) Improving Skills and Swimming Strokes:
Improve fundamental aquatic skills; Improve effectiveness and efficiency of the 6 basic swimming strokes;
Improve ability to swim continuously and swimming endurance;
Learn safety skills and safe behaviors in and around the water.
C) Fitness Swimming:
Improve effectiveness and efficiency of the front crawl, back crawl and breaststroke.
Learn safety skills and safe behaviors in and around the water.
D) Al a carte:
Tells us what you want to work on, and we will create plan for you.
